Like I don’t get why people don’t use these more. I’m playing around with akregator and I’m digging the news feed style to it.
Is it the most sophisticated thing ever? Nah. Does it satisfy my bird brain? Yeah, marginally. I gotta find some feeds to populate it with; the fact it works on WordPress is pretty neat!
Admittedly, I wanna shift my reliance on web browsers back to dedicated multifunction open source programs instead of apps. Javascript and content homogenization has made it harder and harder to parse relevant content from sponsored noise, and I just wanna read things on the internet these days. I don’t care about related stuff, I don’t really care if your website does anything cool, I want to browse at my leisure. Give me low quality cdns that are actually using sane compression algorithms if you need to chill on bandwidth… Orr, if you can’t handle the load on your website you could prolly cool it with expanding your reach via search engines. Food for thought, not like you’d’ve asked.
